Chris Taylor
Sustainability Lead UK & Ireland, Philips Health Systems
Chris Taylor is the UKI Sustainability Lead for Philips healthcare and have been working in the Medical Imaging business for over 20 years.
In that time, I have been fortunate to work in many different countries around Europe and have seen and supported a lot of the good work we do as an Industry. I have always been passionate about Climate Change and the effects we have as an industry on our environment and how we can work together, with our customers, to collaborate and drive Net Zero ambitions.
For the past 4 years I have been helping to drive the responsible and sustainable growth at Philips UKI and visualise our ambitious climate goals, to improve people’s health and well-being through meaningful innovation, positively impacting 2 billion lives per year by 2025, as well as creating a more sustainable planet for future generations.
In 2022 I took up the role as convener of the Sustainability Special Focus group for AXREM, the trade association representing the suppliers of diagnostic medical imaging, radiotherapy, healthcare IT and care equipment in the UK. I was honoured to win the first AXREM award for Sustainability in 2021, for my work in this field. I also Vice chair the Healthtech Ireland Sustainability working group, an independent trade association for manufacturers, developers and distributors of health technology products and solutions to the health system in Ireland.
As well as a BSi Committee member and an Industry spokesperson on the DHSC Design for Life project. In my spare time I like to run, hike and volunteer for the Moors for the Future partnership helping to deliver a landscape scale programme of blanket bog restoration across the Peak District and South Pennine moors.
